Eden Palmer is starting the new cricket season with mixed feelings. It’s been a terrible winter, losing her playing form, her mental health, her boyfriend Matt, and her best friend, fellow player Brooke. On top of it all, she’s carrying an injury and can’t play. In many ways, she’s still healing.

This would be a lot easier to deal with if she didn’t have to share the stadium with Matt.

Matt knows it’s tough for her—but neither of them want to leave the club. He wishes he could turn back the clock, but perhaps he’s not cut out to date a professional athlete. If only he wasn’t working for her father, the Head Groundsman, who surely blames Matt for Eden’s emotional derailment.

However, Matt’s biggest challenge might be to avoid falling for the Scorpions’ new recruit… Brooke. A rising star, she’s hot property… and has caught Matt’s eye. Unfortunately, she was the source of all Eden’s problems, including the breakup.

If the two bowlers can’t repair their friendship, the team will suffer.

If Eden can’t regain her mojo, her career might be over.

Seams Like Love is a romantic comedy set in the world of women’s professional cricket.

The book is a relatable non-spicy romance, with mild profanity and fade-to-black intimacy scenes. A key theme is the mental health challenges of sport, and the story includes neurodiversity and Type 1 diabetes representation.

A share of royalties from every sale is donated to Her Game Too, which is a voluntary and unfunded campaign that works to tackle sexism in sport and empower women and girls to be involved.
