Lucy Wood is an educator and teacher trainer who has been working in science departments for almost 20 years. She is an Education Advisor at the Education Development Trust. She has previously worked with Teach First, Ark and Academies Enterprise Trust making science education work, and led the development of the ground breaking Science Mastery Programme at Ark Curriculum Plus.
Lucy is also a mum and step-mum to four small people, who have inspired her thinking about how children really learn science, and who sparked the idea of Secure Science when they couldn’t find what they needed during the 2020 COVID lockdown.
