The book examines how the United States has constructed its national security framework through techno-political foundations, examining the evolving relationship between technology and security in the context of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and blockchain. Coverage provides a comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding techno-politics while using the U.S. as a primary case study to demonstrate how technological advancements reshape global power dynamics, sovereignty, and governance structures. Through historical analysis spanning from the Industrial Revolutions to contemporary digital hegemony, chapters traces how technological innovations have shaped U.S. governance, security strategies, and global dominance, particularly focusing on the rise of tech elites and their integration into political power structures. U.S. security strategy documents and contemporary developments, including the symbolic positioning of tech billionaires like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel in the political landscape, are examined to ultimately conclude that a new techno-oligarchic order is emerging that replaces traditional military-industrial complexes with techno-security partnerships. By connecting theoretical perspectives with empirical analysis, the book offers essential insights for scholars in international relations, political science, and technology studies, positioning techno-politics as the new battleground for global geopolitical competition.
