When a friendly tortoise decides to set off on an adventure, he must first say goodbye to all his friends. Will he ever actually leave the zoo?

Comedic illustrations by the super-talented Emma Levey, author and illustrator of Hattie Peck, are the perfect accompaniment for this whimsical rhyming story.

When Sally's not tending to animals on her smallholding in Suffolk, UK, she can be found in her studio, inventing new children's books. After leaving art college she started her career at a local screen printing workshop before moving into advertising. In 1998 she returned to Suffolk, bought a farmhouse, and spent the next three years turning it into a family home with her husband Peter, and children Sophie and Matthew. Like Hattie and her collection of eggs, Emma Levey has an enviable collection of talents, working in everything from print, to gouache, to photography and 3D. Emma is based in a teeny, tiny village called Llancarfan in the South of Wales and her surroundings inspire her over-active imagination. Emma has a ridiculous obsession with her cat Gimli, who pops up from time to time in her work!
