Geometry is not just shapes on a page. It’s part of everyday life.

This engaging math book for kids shows how geometry appears all around us, from buildings and streets to objects we use every day. Across 17 short, approachable chapters, young readers discover how shapes work in real-life situations and why geometry is useful, not scary. By connecting math concepts to familiar environments, the book helps kids recognize shapes in the world around them and understand how geometry supports problem solving and design.

Perfect for kids who may feel unsure about math, this child-friendly geometry book builds confidence by showing that shapes are practical, visual, and fun. A final interactive double-page spread invites readers to apply what they have learned, reinforcing key ideas through hands-on thinking. Ideal for independent reading, classroom support, or home learning, this book helps kids see geometry as a helpful tool they already use every day.

Lenka Chytilova was drawn to books and writing from a young age. It was no surprise, then, when she got a degree in Czech Language and Literature and German Translation. She has always tried to connect books and reading, her greatest hobby, with her work; she worked part-time in a bookshop for many years and she also worked as an editor and proofreader. Lenka likes classic Czech fairytales, and she loves Večerníček, the Czech television program for children’s bedtime stories. She grew up in a village in East Moravia.

After many years in London, Gary Boller now lives a little more south in the countryside in Hampshire, UK, with his wife and two children and several cats. He trained as a graphic designer gaining an HND and also thereafter had a career in design and advertising in London. He was always drawing as a child, even on his parents walls. He loved the comics of the day. The Beano and Dandy, famous titles in England. One day in a summer vacation job from college a co-worker said to him, on observing a cartoon he'd drawn on the back of an old envelope, "There's something in that!" Well so it turned out. After engaging illustrators as an art director it occurred to him that he would really rather be the illustrator.
