Written by Sun Yefang, former director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Some Theoretical Issues in Socialist Economics is a major critique of socialist economic theories and policies in China. Theoretical Issues was first published in Chinese by the Peoples Publishing Company, Beijing, in 1979. It contains twenty papers written over the twenty-two year period from 1956 to 1978.Report. This title was first published in 1982.

A graduate of the U niversity of Hong Kong, K. K. Fung received a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. In 1964-65 he taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 1970-75 he taught at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, and since 1975 he has been on the faculty of Memphis State University where he is now an associate professor of economics.
