Solving Contemporary School Leadership Challenges: A Case Learning Approach is for aspiring school principals, connecting theoretical and practical knowledge with the current realities of school leadership. The featured cases link to relevant Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) standards and cover a range of problems encountered by school principals including cyber bullying, diversity, equity and inclusion issues, school community relationships and supervision of personnel.

Adopting this case learning approach, the intended use of the cases as an instructional tool, engages aspiring leaders in problem framing, critical thinking, decision-making and reflective practice. The case studies bring reality into theory, involve students in personal learning and promote creation of a community of learners.
