Published originally in 1998, this book is reissued in a revised layout to accompany Derek Stanley's newest titles, 'Images of North Dublin'. 'Images of South Dublin' features historical images and accompanying text from South Dublin. This is an engaging collection of images from the Liffey to Greystones, featuring images from Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Greystones and compiled by someone with an exceptional knowledge of the city and its history. For residents who have lived there for as long as they can remember, and for recent arrivals, this will provide a fascinating look at the area before the changes of the last few decades.

This is the third of Dr Derek Stanley's such publications, after Images titles on both Central and his newest (Released in September) North Dublin. His interest in the city began at an early age when he spent many happy holidays visiting relatives in Dublin, and after spending a number of years working in Baggot St Hospital, he now works part-time as a medical tutor at Liverpool University. He still visits Dublin on a regular basis.
