Her model overcomes our state of alienation by embracing corporeality and excess, lived experience in everyday interactions with space, and a new construction of subject of becoming. Xiaobo Jiang earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is currently teaching at Beijing International Studies University. Among her major interests are twentieth-century British novels and literary theories.
