STREET SMARTS FROM PROVERBS reveals Solomon's steps to divine wisdom while providing tools to navigate out of conflict into community.

When Mitch Kruse, who once ruled the collector car auction world, lost almost everything the day after the IRS raided his company, he learned that going to church three times a week while growing up did not guarantee the answer to one question, "Have you ever thought about changing the scorecard of your life from money to wisdom?" His pursuit to find the answer sparked a lifelong journey through the ultimate wisdom book for emerging leaders, Proverbs, one that connects God's heart with street smarts.

Mitch introduces each of the 12 words with a real-life story of someone who has experienced God's miraculous restoration through humbling their heart to Him. In every subsequent chapter, Mitch explains, illustrates, and applies one of the four components of each pearl, providing an easy-to-understand, yet life-transforming, step-by-step process to assimilate each respective trait of wisdom. Using practical analogies, Mitch gives memorable tools for the reader to recall every point with the purpose of applying it to conflict at work, with family, among friends, and in ministry. He shares tangible tools to be shrewd, yet harmless, in business dealings; how to separate wisdom from foolishness though discretion; and how to seek wise counsel for life's decisions. Mitch concludes the book with the timeless truths of discipline, intimacy with God and others, and how to become a lifelong learner.
