Allie Spencer is an author with many strings to her bow. She gained a B.A. in English and Related Literature and an M.A. in Medieval Studies before reading for the Bar. She completed pupillage in London with a leading set of family law barristers and then joined a firm of solicitors as a matrimonial specialist.

She is the author of two novels: Tug of Love, which won the Romantic Novelists' Association New Writers' Scheme prize for the best debut of 2009 and was shortlisted for the 2010 Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance, and The Not-So-Secret Diary of a City Girl.
