The reviewed monograph is an attempt to reconstruct the scientific discourse on what sustainable development is in the theoretical dimension, considering different analytical perspectives. Katarzyna Stachurska-Szczesiak is an associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations at Maria Curie-Sk³odowska University in Lublin, Poland. She is also the head of the research laboratory of the European Documentation Centre (CDE UMCS). In 2019, she obtained a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences, in the discipline of political and administrative science, and in 2023 was appointed an university professor. Since 2015, she has been a member of the European expert group Team Europe.
