Swansea City Football Club witnessed the end of an era when the club said farewell to the Vetch Field in spring 2005. Fast approaching its centenary, the club enters a new phase of its history as its new home in the Landore area of the city. Since the opening season in 1912, over 700 players have appeared in the famous black and white of the Swans. More than fifty internationals from all over the world, many of whom remain living in the city to this day, have worn the shirt with distinction, as have sons of famous footballing families such as the Holes, Charleses and the Allchurches.
This collection celebrates all these great names and many more, including modern day heroes such as Roger Freestone and Lee Trundle. Illustrated throughout, each player receives a full profile, complete with biography and statistics. Compiled by football historians Keith Haynes and Phil Sumbler, this celebration of Swansea's finest sons provides an excellent addition to the collection of any Swansea supporter.
