In partnership with the UK’s leading anti-racism charity, Tackling Racism Together is an anti-racist handbook for young people aged 9+. The book aims to give readers a broad understanding of what racism is, how it affects people’s lives, and what they can do to challenge it. Quotes and real-life stories will inspire and engage young people with the message. Readers should feel educated and empowered, equipped with the knowledge and confidence to take positive steps forward.

A. M. DASSU is an internationally acclaimed author of 13 children’s books, including Boy, Everywhere, Fight Back and Kicked Out, which have collectively been listed for over 55 awards, including the Carnegie Medal, Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and Week Junior Book Award. Dassu is also a director of Inclusive Minds, a patron of The Other Side of Hope literary magazine, and contributes widely to literacy and inclusivity initiatives. Through her award-winning fiction, non-fiction and advocacy, she champions underrepresented voices and inspires young readers to confront prejudice with courage and compassion.

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC), founded in January 1996 by then-Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, is the UK’s largest anti-racism education charity. It harnesses the visibility and influence of footballers (and other sports) as positive role models to confront and challenge racism. The charity develops and delivers educational workshops in schools, workplaces and stadiums, and produces materials such as DVDs, posters, magazines and teaching packs. SRtRC’s mission is to foster understanding, empower communities to oppose discrimination, and promote social cohesion through the unifying power of sport.

Mia Saine is an award-winning Black and queer illustrator from Memphis, Tennessee. Saine uses vibrant colours, lines and textures to visualize culture, diversity and progressive representation of contemporary marginalized communities within international media.
