A beautifully illustrated colouring journey that celebrates the mystery and power of Tarot.

A stunning exploration of an ancient art that remains significant and special in modern times, the intricate artwork in Tarot Colouring offers a creative twist on traditional designs. Artist Alexis E. Thomson uses glorious natural imagery alongside mythological references to illustrate prominent cards from both the Major and Minor Arcana decks, including the High Priestess and the Wheel of Fortune. Each image is accompanied by fascinating information so the symbolism of each card can be fully understood.

Alexis E Thomson is a Canadian artist, born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. From an early age she was drawn to the visual arts, exploring mediums such as sculpture, textiles, painting and illustration. At age 19 she left art school to pursue an apprenticeship and subsequent career as a tattooist.

Alexis is best known for her work with birds and botanicals. Since childhood, her main artistic inspiration has come from the study of plants and animals, particularly those native to her home in the Pacific Northwest.

In contrast to her fascination with the natural world around her, Alexis also has a keen interest in the mystical. Her studies in mythology, demonology and cryptozoology frequently inspire her artwork, where she enjoys proposing new or unusual perspectives on classic tales.
