Count down from ten with the cheeky aliens and do your 'sums with bums' in Ten Green Bottoms – a hilarious storybook for preschoolers, which is a twist on the classic nursery rhyme Ten Green Bottles.

Join the green-bottomed aliens and their ‘wind-powered' rocket as they cause all kinds of mischief on Earth. Packed full of silly humour and with lots to spot in busy scenes, this riotous rhyming story by Barry Timms and Mike Byrne is perfect for reading aloud and sharing.

With a surprise gatefold ending, a number line to count up to ten and back down again plus a page of simple adding up, first maths skills have never been so much fun!

Barry Timms is an award-winning author who enjoys the way books bring people together. He grew up in the rugged Cornish landscape but now lives by a South London water tower and is a city boy at heart. Barry can often be found with pencil in hand, writing or drawing or both. Most exciting of all is putting words and images together, and the surprising results that can happen. Barry likes road movies, ghost trains and exploring forgotten side streets.

Mike Byrne grew up on the Wirral near Liverpool before moving to Wales to study Illustration at Glyndwr University. He began his career as a designer for a greetings card company and then became a studio manager for a licensed stationery designer before leaving to fulfil his dream of illustrating children's books. Mike now lives in Surrey with his wife, cat and two sons where he spends his days doodling and illustrating children's books fuelled only by tea and biscuits.

Ten Green Bottoms is their first title together for Macmillan's Children's Books.
