From the pages of UK comic Valiant - a series of amazing text stories featuring the strangest hero of all time!
Accidental exposure to a form of natural radiation had caused scientist Jason Hyde's eyes to turn colourless and emit blue rays which gave him the power to see through solid objects and to read the thoughts of human beings. Hyde has dedicated his life to investigating strange phenomena and protecting the world from all manner of abnormal threats!
From giant sentient spiders to a warlike race of subterranean humanoids, Jason Hyde is the Earth's only hope!

Eric Bradbury
Eric Bradbury began his comic career at Knockout, working on such humour strips as Blossom and Our Ernie. He moved onto the adventure western, Lucky Logan, sharing art chores with Mike Western (Bradbury would go on to ink Western’s pencils on The Leopard from Lime Street). High profile work on Mytek the Mighty (Valiant & Vulcan), the House of Dolmann (Valiant), Von Hoffman’s Invasion (Jet!), Death Squad (Battle), Hook Jaw (Action) and Doomlord (The Eagle) followed.
Bradbury has been described as an ‘unsung hero’ of 2000 AD, having contributed to many popular strips in the long-running sci-fi comic. His credits in the ‘Galaxy’s Greatest comic’ include Rogue Trooper, Tharg the Mighty, Invasion and The Mean Arena.
Barrington J. Bayley
Barrington John Bayley was born in April 1937 in Birmingham. After leaving school, he had a number of jobs including a short career as a reporter working for the wellington Journal and, at the age of eighteen he joined the royal Air Force. A life-long fan of science fiction, his first short story (Combat's end) was published in 1954, in Vargo Statten Magazine. Over the next decade he had more stories published in Michael Moorcock's New Worlds. The two writers became firm friends , often collaborating on stories together.
His novel, Star Virus, was released in 1970 and followed by many more great SF titles including Star winds, The Zen Gun and Eye of Terror.
in the 1960s Barrington lent his talents to IPC where he created text series The Astounding Jason Hyde and Bartok and his Brothers for Valiant and Champion respectively.
