For many years, Thomas Kellner has been working with architecture and sights from all over the world, but in this work, created in the summer of 2014, he turns to one of the most breath taking landscape motifs on earth: the Grand Canyon. Kellner photographs the subject from several perspectives and thus breaks it down into its individual parts. He then assembles the contact sheets in their original size to create an overall composition. The Big Picture consists of 60 films with 36 shots each, i.e. 2160 pictures taken one after the other. The work of art is more than 4 meters wide. The limited two-image catalog presents the work of art at an impressive 1.50 m and thus in the format 1: 3.7. Two-image catalogue presenting the work of art at an impressive 1.50 m and thus in the format 1: 3.7. The Grand Canyon in big format.
