Kevin Brazier left school at 16 almost unable to read and write. He was diagnosed as being dyslexic at 18 and taught himself to read and write (still learning) by reading any books he could manage, in time moving onto harder books. His first book was published at the age of fifty. Brazier has given talks for the National Army Museum, the Metropolitan and Hertfordshire Police, the Royal British Legion, other small military clubs, societies, schools, and charity organisations.
