Robin and Grandad are bound for the 'Venice of the North', St. Petersburg! Peter the Great shows them some of the most famous museums in the world, and even introduces them to the world of ballet. Be sure to take a hat and scarf though, it's going to be a snowy trip! Robin is about to find out! Luckily they have The Magic Talking Book of the World's Most Interesting People and Places to help them learn! With his magic spell, Grandad awakens a new historical figure to show them around the cities they visit. Each has a fascinating story to tell Robin, and helps to teach him some very important facts about the world and its history.

The Diaries of Robin’s Travels is a 10 book series that introduces readers to new cities and historical figures. Aimed at children aged 6 and above, these stories are a combination of fact and fiction, both educational and entertaining.

Ken was born in rural Norfolk during a period of austerity following the Second World War. He was sent to boarding school at the age of thirteen before later living and working in the Middle East, Nigeria and Spain. Following a near-death experience, Ken had a supernatural encounter which inspired him to pick up a pen and begin his writing career. Angie Lake is a freelance writer with a background in the Spanish music industry. She has worked on a variety of projects, including writing and reviewing for press publication, translation and authoring works of fiction. Angie joined Sweet Cherry in 2012, having co-authored The Diaries of Robin’s Toys and The Diaries of Robin’s Travels with her father, Ken. She has since penned solo comedy series, Danny Dingle’s Fantastic Finds and Mina Mistry Investigates. Angie currently lives in Spain, covering concerts and other cultural events in the summer months.
