Drew Daniels, aka the Fantastic Freewheeler, is facing his toughest mission yet: the school dance. He’s taking his friend, and crush, Maxima Croft and wants everything to be perfect. But on the big night, an unexpected extraterrestrial guest crashes the party! What’s worse, Freewheeler was overusing his info-absorbing ability in the hope of impressing his date, and now he’s got a bad case of brain freeze! Can the hero gain his superpower back and communicate with the alien before mass panic breaks out? Find out in this exciting Fantastic Freewheeler graphic novel, featuring a courageous hero who uses a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy, as well as action full of humour and heart.
Like the Fantastic Freewheeler, Molly Felder has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. She received her BA and MA in writing from NYU Gallatin. Her debut picture book, Henry the Boy, is based on the years she spent walking with crutches and is published by Penny Candy Books. The Fantastic Freewheeler books are her first graphic novels. She has taught English to kids in China online and loves having her service dog, Patterson, by her side. If she could pick a superpower, it would be to hear what he’s thinking.
