Buddhism and its history are the most revolutionary things which happened in the world history. Buddha and his teaching proved to be an inspiration for many, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Edward J. Thomas (1869-1958) was an antiquarian scholar, librarian, author of several books on the Buddhist literature. He earned a master’s degree in Classics from University of St. Andrews in 1901, studied linguistics at Emmanuel College and graduated from University of Cambridge in 1905.
