The IBOIS Notebooks offer a societal, ecological, cultural, and political look at wood construction. Yves Weinand is a Belgian architect and civil engineer and one of the most recognized researchers in the field of contemporary wood construction. He founded the Weinand design office, and he is director of EPFL’s Wood Construction Laboratory (IBOIS). Christophe Catsaros is an independent architecture critic. He is the author of several books and a regular contributor to Artpress, Volume, and Architecture d'Aujourd'hui, among others.
