The Little Book of Fishing Tips is an essential for your tackle box – a wonderful collection of fishing know-how. It’s packed with advice that will enhance your piscatorial pleasure and will aid you in front of pond, stream, river and sea. It includes the low-down on locations, the basics of bait and helpful hints for handling. There are species-specific tips for carp, perch, pike and bass, but also principle pointers to cast you in the right direction whatever you’re trying to reel in. Carping about waterside woes might just become a thing of the past.
Mick Devenish wasted much of the first fifty years of his angling life being a successful businessman and mortgage payer. From childhood messing in streams and ponds to fly fishing for trout, his piscatorial horizons gradually expanded to include coarse and sea fishing throughout the UK along with regular expeditions to the remote jungle rivers of the Amazon basin in search of exotic and predatory species. He has also fished extensively in India, Africa and Central America. At home in the south-west of England he keeps koi carp in his garden pond and stocks and runs a small trout lake with friends.
