A colorful and imaginative retelling of a classic parable from Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.

When a powerful King banishes his beloved daughter, the entire kingdom is turned upside down. Sensing the King’s deep regret, the Viceroy of the kingdom takes it upon himself to search for the Lost Princess, and reunite the royal family. The ensuing quest takes many mysterious twists and turns, revealing the infinite—and often hidden—potential of yearning, forgiveness, and imagination. With Jessica Tamar Deutsch’s poetic retelling and stunning visual interpretation of Rebbe Nachman’s classic tale, readers of all ages can join the Viceroy on an adventure of transformation and renewal.

About Rebbe Nachman

Rebbe Nachman (1772–1810) is known as the founder of the Breslov Hasidic movement. Nachman was the great-grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Chassidut, a movement that created a powerful spiritual revival. Nachman’s teachings focused on joy in the face of despair, and personal connection to God, through a personal meditation practice called hitbodedut. He is also widely known for his many magical stories to wake up the heart.
