'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse . . .  It's Christmas Eve and the whole house is sleeping - all except one little boy, woken up by the jingle of bells and the clatter of reindeer hooves on the roof. As he tiptoes downstairs, who will he find?  Mark Marshall's captivating illustrations places a little boy at the heart of Clement C Moore's classic Christmas poem. This bright and bold picture book is a perfect Christmas gift for young children - and a great way to introduce a new generation to this iconic poem. With a magical, glittery cover!
Clement C. Moore was born in New York City in 1779. A proffessor and writer, he is best known for this poem, which he wrote for this children in 1822. Originally entitled A Visit from St. Nicholas, the poem soon became better known by its famous first line: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Mark spent his childhood drawing, playing football till dark, and reading Marvel superhero comics. He didn't make it as a footballer or superhero, so he became the next best thing: a writer and illustrator of children's books. Mark lives in Warwickshire with his wife and his two little superheroes, who happily play football till dark with their dad!
