Have you ever wondered what a dog's hackles are? Or why Labradors love the water? Or why dogs sniff each other bottoms?

Graeme Hall, a.k.a. The Dogfather, has the answers to these questions and many more, in this beautifully illustrated kids' guide to dogs.

Discover the history of man's best friend and how wolves transformed into modern-day dogs. Learn how to identify different dog breeds and their personalities. And become a dog training expert with top tips from expert author Graeme.

At the back of the book, you'll find canine quizzes and puzzles to test your new dog knowledge, and even find out your puppy personality!

Whether you have a new puppy or a slow old pooch, or even if you're just dreaming about getting a dog, this book will prepare you with all the information you need to be a dog's best friend.

Graeme Hall (Author)
Graeme Hall 'The Dogfather' has been described by the Telegraph as 'Britain's best dog trainer'. Graeme criss-crosses the country helping dog and puppy owners with behaviour problems. His motto is 'Any dog, any age, any problem' and he has built a glowing reputation on providing quick but long-lasting fixes.

After running a very successful training business, Graeme is now best known as the presenter of hit Channel 5 show Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly. He has also advised dog owners on his podcast Talking Dogs. An accomplished writer, his first book All Dogs Great and Small was an instant Sunday Times bestseller and he is now also a monthly columnist for The Sunday Times Magazine.

Alice Tait (Illustrator)
Alice Tait is a well-known British illustrator who loves to draw. Alice’s favourite commissions are for children’s books, and her favourite thing to draw is dogs, so working on The Ultimate Kids' Guide to Dogs has been a real career high! As well as her work in children’s publishing as an author-illustrator, Alice’s artwork can be seen across adult publishing, fashion, posh food and even her own brand of gifts, which is the best-selling London gift range in the UK. In between high-profile commissions, and being mother to two very active young children, Alice loves nothing better than to nip out with her sketchbook to take inspiration from the streets around her, and the people (and dogs!) she sees.
