“The sticker may be the most efficient art medium ever invented.” - Jeffrey Deitch The name says it all! Considered the authority on the history and culture of adhesive art (known as stickers) DB Burkeman wanted to offer people what they really want, which is amazing stickers themselves. There has never been anything like this peel-out sticker book with the list that includes some of the most iconic names in contemporary art. Includes stickers from Allan McCollum, Andy Warhol, Ann Craven, Anthony Coleman, Baraulio Amado, Chapman Brothers, Daniel Johnston, David Jien, DAZE, Devin Troy Strother, Donald Sultan, Elmgreen & Dragset, Erik Foss, Fred Tomaselli, Hank Willis Thomas, Jackson Pollock and many more.
Formally a rave and club DJ, DJ DB, DB Burkeman is often credited and (sometimes blamed) with bringing the subgenre of Jungle to the US. He first released drum & bass records and compilations for the label Sm:)e Communications before opening Breakbeat Science, which became ground zero for the scene. Now retired from nightlife, he’s making some noise in art & publishing by producing books on art, music and counterculture under his full name.
