'Jennifer Lane casts a kind a contrary nature spell over her readers, full of glitter and acorns, fire and firecrests' Derek Niemann, Guardian

After Jennifer Lane reached breaking point in her fast-paced office life and suffered stress-related illness, she set out to rediscover the solace and purpose that witchcraft had given her as a teenager. In her year long journey, Jennifer explored ancient festivals and rituals, and visited fellow pagans and wild landscapes, in search of wisdom and peace.

The Wheel explores the draw of witchcraft and our vulnerability to toxic working environments, including digital demands, and is intended for those who are sick at heart of noise, anger and disconnection. Full of wise words, crackling rituals and natural beauty, this is a quest to discover how to live fully connected to the natural world while firmly in the twenty-first century.

Jennifer Lane is a green witch and nature writer with a background in wildlife communications. As a journalist she has written for Vogue, Dazed and the BBC, promoting the wider health benefits of nature, birdwatching and living in tune with the land. In 2018, she won a Northern Writers' Award. She is the author of The Wheel and The Witch's Survival Guide, as well as two novels for young adults. Jennifer is based near Manchester with her partner and a calico cat called Linnet.
