Fumiaki Shingu was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1953. He moved to Tokyo after graduation from design school. In 1984, he founded a graphic design company. His origami kits have been sold in Toys R Us among other major outlets in Japan. He is the creator of origami-club.com.
