Fred sits, somewhere or other, next to a sign which reads "Stories told here today". He's been waiting a long time - or at least he thinks he has. A group of actors, the storyplayers arrive. They are followed by the ageing storytellers, who create the characters and the plots for the storyplayers to act out.
