With a carefully curated selection of the most impressive photographs from Thomas Hoepker's entire career, this book presents not only images, but also stories that capture the essence of humanity and culture. The master's major retrospective is finally available as a lavish coffee table book. With his unique view of the world, Hoepker has created a visual archive that captures the complexity of human existence and the diversity of cultural identities. His photographs are characterised by a special sensitivity for the moments that are often hidden in everyday life, and they invite the viewer to experience the underlying stories and emotions.
From his iconic images of the Vietnam War to moving portraits and powerful landscapes, Hoepker's work reflects not only events, but also the mood and attitude to life of the era in which they were taken. His pictorial narrative art not only appeals to viewers visually; it also involves them emotionally and encourages them to reflect.
