Tara Bahrampour was the fourth generation of her family to attend the University of California, Berkeley. A graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism, she has written for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the New Republic, the Village Voice, and Travel and Leisure. She lives in New York City.
