A moving story about neighbors who slowly realize that their differences aren’t as important as what ties them together. To read aloud for ages 4 years and up, or to read by yourself

We have dots and they have stripes, and we DON’T interact. That’s how the two types of Galoons have been living in their neighboring trees for years. Even when natural disaster strikes, they don’t stop arguing. Is there nothing that can unite the two groups? .
Adam Ciccio was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He was raised in Savannah, Georgia, and attended high school at St. Andrew’s School on Wilmington Island, ga. He graduated with a bachelor of arts in English from the University of New Hampshire (Durham, nh) in 2006 and with a master of science in psychological counseling at Salem State University (Salem, ma) in 2012. Adam owns an outpatient mental health practice for children and adults in Marblehead, Massachusetts, the same town in which he currently resides. He’s the author of several picture books that focus on developmental growth and self-confidence during early childhood.

Katrien Benaets obtained her master’s degree in Free and Applied Graphics at PIKOH (Hasselt, Belgium). Since her first encounter with a pencil, she has been passionate about drawing and illustration. Katrien uses visual storytelling to invite children to enter new, fantastical worlds.
