This years calendar features 13 full-colour paintings by the world-renowned Tolkien artist, John Howe, depicting scenes from across the panoply of tales contained within the History of Middle-earth. From the legendary First Age when the Valar shaped the world, and the Second Age which saw the fall of Numenor, through to the Third Age which culminated in the War of the Ring.
