Dimitrios Buhalis, University of Surrey, Guildford, UK Dr Dimitrios Buhalis is Course Leader MSc in Tourism Marketing and Leader of eTourism Research at the School of Management, University of Surrey. Dimitrios is also Adjunct Professor at the MBA in Hospitality Management at IMHI (Cornell University–ESSEC) in Paris. Dimitrios has been an active researcher in the areas of ICT and tourism, and also serves as Vice Chairman on the International Federation of Information Technology and Tourism (IFITT) Board. He has editorial roles in a number of academic journals, and he has written, edited or co-edited eight books on eTourism, tourism strategic issues and distribution channels of tourism. Dimitrios is working closely with the World Tourism Organization, the World Travel Tourism Council and the European Commission on a number of eTourism-related projects.
Carlos Costa, Universidade de Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal Dr Carlos Costa is Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro. He has been Director of the Tourism teaching programme since 1996, which includes a BSc on Tourism Planning and Development and an MSc on Tourism Management and Development. He holds a PhD and MSc on Tourism Management from the University of Surrey. He is also Editor of the Tourism & Development Journal, the first tourism journal that was launched in Portugal. Dr Costa has also been involved in several projects and in consultancy work for the Portuguese Government and other Portuguese organizations. He is currently a Visiting Professor in several universities around the world, and has taught tourism courses in Finland, the UK, Greece, Cuba, Brazil and Goa.
