Rick D.Giovengo has 28 years of law enforcement experience as both a state law enforcement officer and a federal agent. His specialized skills include: undercover investigations, criminal investigations, personnel development, leadership coaching, and training. As an Academy Chief he designed the Covert Operator Selection School, which was considered a marquee undercover school in federal law enforcement training. His leadership experience led him to become an adjunct instructor for the Federal Law Enforcement Leadership Institute from 2004-2009. He served as the Accreditation Manager for the U.S. Coast Guard’s Maritime Law Enforcement Academy. Giovengo was on the FLETA Task Force during 2001-2002. He received his doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology from Walden University and his Masters Degree in Adult Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Giovengo also has significant experience in coordination with foreign governments relating to international law enforcement efforts, relations, and training. He is Certified Law Enforcement Instructor Trainer, Interview and Interrogation, Defensive Tactics, Firearms Instructor, and Instructional Design Developer. He proudly served as a Platoon Sergeant in the United State Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983, and did a tour in the Indian Ocean during the Iranian Hostage Crisis
