Almost everything that one claims about meaning is likely to be questioned or disputed. Translation studies also abound in numerous controversies. Tomasz P. Krzeszowski is a Professor Emeritus at Warsaw University and a Professor at the School of English of the University of Social Sciences in Łódz´/Warsaw. His areas of academic research include contrastive linguistics, cognitive linguistics, axiological aspects of language and metaphor theory.
