Amisha lived with her Mum, in a tree.
They swung on branches, wild and free.
And all was good - until, one day . . .
Amisha was taken, far away.

When orangutan Amisha arrives in the city, she quickly finds a new routine climbing and swinging on ropes and wires. But when she meets a new friend - a bird, called Blue - he helps her to remember her rainforest home and her love for trees. Surely one little orangutan can't change the world - can they?

A beautiful and poignant story which explores the meaning of home with a powerful message around activism and caring for our world. From Helen Docherty and Erica Salcedo, the creative partnership behind The Bee Who Loved Words.

Helen has lived and worked in France, Spain, Cuba and Mexico, and now lives in Swansea, Wales, with her husband, the author and illustrator Thomas Docherty, and their two daughters. Before becoming an author, Helen taught Spanish and French, and since moving to Wales has been trying her hand at learning Welsh too. Helen is the author of the bestselling and award-winning The Snatchabook, which was illustrated by her husband, Thomas Docherty and has been translated into 18 languages. Erica Salcedo is a freelance illustrator and lives in the peaceful town of Cuenca (Spain). After completing a fine arts degree at the UCLM (University of Castilla la Mancha), she decided to continue her education with a master's degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at the UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia). Since she graduated, she's been working as an illustrator, and worked on many exciting projects with different publishing houses all over the world.
