From Africa (Namibia and Somalia), South America (El Salvador) and the Middle East (Cyprus, Sinai, Golan Heights, Lebanon and Kuwait) to East Asia (Cambodia and Korea) and Europe (Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia), UN forces have been deployed all around the globe. In addition two major wars have been fought under the banner of the United Nations – The Korean War and the Gulf War.
