Dr. Hritonenko is continuously working on improving mathematical education. She is the founder and director of NSF-PVAMU REU Site: Mathematical Modeling in the Sciences.

Dr. Yuri Yatsenko holds a Ph.D. from Kiev National University (Ukraine) and Dr. Sci. degree from the USSR Academy of Sciences (Moscow). He was a professor at science, business and technology schools in Ukraine, Poland, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Canada, and USA. Since 2002, he has been a professor at Houston Baptist University. Dr. Yatsenko has published eight books and more than 200 papers in top-ranked scientific journals.
