The new official book approved by Piaggio about the legend of the Vespa. When the Vespa debuted in 1946, it was received with an air of scepticism. It soon became a success. It was the first two-wheeled version of the “compact” and responded perfectly to the post-war need for mobility. It has also become famous for its unique design that many have tried to imitate; it truly is an icon. The Vespa is not just any scooter, it is the scooter, known and loved all over the world.

Stefano Cordara was born in Milan in 1967. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan. In 1992 he began his career as a journalist, working as a specialised tester in the world of motorcycles, thereby transforming his unbridled passion for motorcycles into a job. His sensitivity as a test driver led him to be personally involved.
