It speaks of the heartache of giving up a child for adoption and of being reunited with that child only to find that she too was a victim of abuse. It is also a story of reinvention and hope. That young girl went on to have a life full of fun, adventure and fulfilment.
Nicky Harland is first and foremost an artist and this is her first foray into the world of writing. Born in Brighton, she has lived for much of her life in France and has travelled widely. She is now living in Kent, where she continues to paint and exhibit locally.
