Watch out for muddy puddles!
Because you never really know ...
what there might be lurking
down in the depths below.

Have you ever thought about what could be in the world below the surface of puddles? Join in as one boy finds that some are very, very deep; some are teeming with particularly peckish crocodiles – eek! – and some icy puddles hurt your bottom when you slip – ouch! Others are full of frogs, underwater kings, lost socks and – WATCH OUT! – the BIG, BAD duck ...

A joyous celebration of the imagination and splashing in puddles by the star of CBeebies' Mr Bloom and the bestselling illustrator of Aliens Love Underpants.

Ben Faulks is an actor and writer from Cornwall, best known for his role as Mr Bloom in the CBeebies children's television show Mr Bloom's Nursery. He was nominated for a BAFTA award for best Children's Television Presenter in 2011 and the show won an RTS North And West award for best children's programme in 2011. He lives in Heptonstall, Yorkshire. This is his first picture book.

Ben Cort studied illustration at Harrow College and is the illustrator of Shark in the Dark and Aliens Love Underpants, among many others. The latter has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. He has won numerous awards including the Practical Pre-School Silver Award, the Stockport Schools' Book Award, the Sheffield Children's Book Award, the Scottish Children's Book Award, and he has been longlisted for the Greenaway Medal.
