About Karl Newson | Zehra Hicks
Karl Newson (Author) Karl Newson is an internationally best-selling, multi-award-winning children's author. His stories have been translated in over 30 languages around the world. He wrote his first bedtime story when his children were little… and he’s been writing stories ever since. He lives in London, in a wonky old house full of family, pot plants and books! Zehra Hicks (Illustrator) Zehra Hicks is a tutor at Chelsea College of Arts, where she completed a Short Course in Book Illustration in 2009. Since then, she has been highly commended for the Macmillan Prize for Illustration, nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and shortlisted for the Read It Again! Cambridgeshire Children's Picture Book Award. Zehra lives with her family in Epsom, Surrey.
