A fabulously illustrated non-fiction book aimed at children ages 7 plus exploring the element water. Water makes up 70% of our body and 80% of our brain. Without it, there is no life. Water exists in three different forms: what you drink, what you make lemonade from, what you swim in, is the liquid; glaciers, frozen puddles, or the ice cubes you put in your lemonade are solids; invisible water vapour, or gas, floats in the air. See how many things nature has to deal with! With striking and graphic artwork, and a fascinating text, packed full of information, this book will make a great addition to any child’s bookshelf.
Anna Skowrońska is not only an author of children's books but also a publisher—she is co-founder of Muchomor publishing house, which she has been running for over 20 years. In addition to this series, which includes Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth, she has also written children’s books such as Alfabet niepodległości (“The Alphabet of Independence"), Alfabet polski (“The Polish Alphabet"), and Święty Franciszek ("Saint Francis"). She lives in Poland.Małgorzata Nowak and Agata Dudek are two graduates of Warsaw's Academy of Fine Arts who together run the Acapulco graphic studio. They specialize precisely in illustration and book design and have to their credit such titles as Anna Onichimowska's Tajemnica Malutkiej (“Little’s Secret”), and MISTRZ. Spotkanie z Witoldem Lutosławskim (”MASTER. The meeting with Witold Lutosławski”), by Anna Czerwińska-Rydel and Paweł Rydel. They live in Poland.
