In We Grieve Our Losses, pastor and counselor Randy Hemphill offers a deeply personal and faith-rooted guide to navigating grief in all its forms—death, divorce, change, disappointment, and more. Drawing from Scripture, reflective exercises, and decades of pastoral care, this Christian grief workbook invites readers to slow down, face their pain, and discover God’s presence in the midst of loss.
Guided steps for healing: Move through five restorative stages that help you name your wounds, process emotions like anger and sadness, offer forgiveness, and receive God’s comfort.
Spiritual reflection and prayer: Scripture-based prompts, journaling exercises, and guided prayers lead you into deeper intimacy with God and a more grounded emotional life.
Faith-based tools for real life: Whether used individually, in counseling, or within a small group, these practices create space for honest reflection, authentic healing, and renewed purpose.
This is not a book about “getting over” pain. It’s an invitation to walk through it, with honesty, courage, and a God who meets us in every tear.
Randy Hemphill is the Congregational Care Pastor at All Christ Church in Auburn, Alabama, where he walks with people through seasons of grief, loss, and renewal. He also serves as Executive Director and pastoral counselor of Life Ministries, which he and his wife founded in 2010. Randy holds both a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate from Beeson Divinity School. He is the author of The Restored Man and, together with his wife Melody, co-authored 30 Days of Hope for Hurting Marriages. Married for over 30 years, he and Melody are the proud parents of four children. Randy treasures family life, finds joy in adventure, and is rarely without a good book close at hand.
