Perfect for inspiring reading confidence in young bookworms, these full-colour first readers will take Tony Ross's ever-popular Little Princess to a whole new audience.
The King and Queen realise they need to call the Little Princess by her real name now that she’s actually not so little any more. But there’s trouble . . . the Princess’s real name is so awful that nobody can pluck up the courage to tell her what it is! The Princess is determined to find out her true name. But what will happen when she does . . .?
A multi award-winning TV series based on the books is currently airing on Milkshake daily and has sold to over 100 territories worldwide.
Wendy Finney was born and educated in London. She left school at seventeen to join in with the 'swinging sixties' and got her first job with the publisher Victor Gollancz. She then worked for a construction company where she taught herself to draw house plans, eventually setting up her own building design and planning business. She has three grown-up children and lives in Wales.
Tony Ross (Illustrator)
Tony Ross has been illustrating books for 50 years, and has been published all over the world. He is perhaps best known for his much-loved Little Princess series, which has been adapted for TV and is currently showing on Channel 5's Milkshake, and for his collaboration on David Walliams’ best-selling children’s books. Tony’s books have been shortlisted for the The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards (Slug Needs a Hug) and the Kate Greenaway (Dr Xargle's Book of Earth Tiggers), and Tadpole’s Promise won the Silver Medal Smarties Prize.
