Known from a young age for her big
hair, Dee is a naturalista who is passionate about embracing one’s natural
self. A book empowering children to be bold about their natural hair is
fitting, as this author owns a natural hair and skin products line called Bold
By Dee.Whilst completing her Master’s in Creative Writing abroad, “What’s Your
FRO-blem?” was birthed. She had to constantly remind herself of her beauty in a
different culture where many persons didn’t look like her and had
a different standard of beauty. Dee is also the author of a blog called
DeeSaysSo.com. It’s about the journey of finding and loving oneself. The love of
self is motivation for her blog and this book.
