Briony was born and spent her ten years in the Welsh valleys. In 1955, her father moved the family to Hemel Hempstead where he took up his first teaching appointment.
After grammar school, Briony went to St. Albans Scool of Art where she met Peter. They married in 1965.
Briony has worked in "Education" all her working life and took an Open University degree, a BA in Art History and the Humanities in the early 1980's.
Briony and Peter now live in Carmarthenshire near their daughter.
Briony began writing during the pandemic, never having done so before. 'Woodbine' is the second book of her Cae Coch trilogy: 'Passing Clouds' being the first.
